Lori Manders, Director of Student Recruitment Services, said she was delighted that an increasing number of students have decided that Aberdeen is the right choice for them.
“The University of Aberdeen prides itself in placing students first and the increase in the number of student applications reflects this. Aberdeen has a lot to offer students both academically and non-academically. The range of our courses continues to be very attractive to students, not only in the UK but overseas as well and the subjects that people are applying for continues to increase across the board,” she said.
“We saw an increase in applications of 20% for 2001 entry and a 16% increase in our intake in September 2001. We have continued to build on our success over the last couple of years and today’s figures confirm that we are one of the first choice universities for many prospective students.”
