Clarissa to be re-installed as Rector of the University of Aberdeen
The North-east public will be given the chance to see the installation of top celebrity cook and broadcaster Clarissa Dickson Wright, returned for the second time as Rector for the University of Aberdeen at a ceremony at King's College Chapel tomorrow (Thursday 9 May, 3.30pm).
Celebrity cook Clarissa has taken a high-profile approach to the job of Rector and made history in 1998 when she became the first woman Rector at Aberdeen in more than 500 years. Her return as Aberdeen Rector for a second term is another first for the post.

Members of the North-east public have been invited for the first time to attend the ceremony alongside students, University staff and specially invited guests of Miss Dickson Wright. An installation reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the Linklater Rooms, Elphinstone Hall. Attendance is by free ticket only and tickets can be obtained by telephoning (01224) 272689.
Following the ceremony, the Rector will be carried from King's College Chapel to The St. Machar Bar - aboard Angus the Bull, the student mascot - where she will buy her student supporters the traditional round of drinks.
