The University of Aberdeen has welcomed more undergraduate students from the UK and EU than ever before for the start of the new academic year. Lori Manders, the University's Director of Marketing, said: "We are all delighted with this increase in students who joined us this September. This increase is across all areas of study and confirms our place as one of the top choices for students from all over the UK and the EU.
"We have consistently increased our student population over the last three years. Our wide range of courses, our international reputation and graduate employment rates continue to prove popular with students."
The most popular areas of study for 2002 include English and Film Studies, History, Psychology, Accountancy and Finance, Management Studies, Politics and International Relations, Sociology, Agriculture, Computing Science, Biomedical Sciences and Zoology.
