The University of Aberdeen will this weekend (Sunday, 10 November) be holding an Act of Remembrance Sunday Service in King’s College Chapel, with 500 people expected to attend.
A parade will take place along the High Street, Old Aberdeen, at 10.15am, comprising of representatives of the Universities’ Air Squadron, the Royal Naval Unit and the Officers’ Training Corps, before they enter the Chapel for the service.
Members of the general public, staff and students are invited to attend the service, which will begin at 10.50am.
Principal C Duncan Rice from the University, along with the Commanding Officers, Officers and members of The Aberdeen Universities’ Royal Naval Unit, The Aberdeen Universities’ Officer Training Corps, and the Aberdeen, Dundee and St Andrews Universities’ Air Squadron will be attending the ceremony.
The service will be sung by the Choir of King’s College Chapel, directed by Dr Roger B Williams, Director of Music, and Organist to the University.
Following the service, a reception will be held for all guests in Elphinstone Hall.
