University Rector, Clarissa Dickson Wright, will be cooking up a storm at the University of Aberdeen Open Day on Tuesday, 26 August. Miss Dickson Wright will be hosting a Ready Steady Cook style event where she will work with two University students who will be given a limited number of interesting ingredients and then be asked to create a culinary delight against the clock.
Miss Dickson Wright commented: "As Rector of the University of Aberdeen I'm looking forward to being involved in this year's event. The Open Day is an ideal opportunity for future students to visit and learn how much the University of Aberdeen has to offer. I'd like to encourage as many people to come along to the University on August 26 and get a taste of what University life will be like."
Graham Wood, a second year Anthropology student at the University and one of the budding chefs said: "I'm a bit nervous about putting my culinary skills on show in front of such a well known personality and am hoping that the combination of ingredients I'm given isn't too off the wall!"
As well as the Ready Steady Cook style event, the Open Day offers visitors the opportunity to tour departments, participate in interactive sessions, take a tour of the campus, visit University accommodation and the sports facilities. They may even find themselves being interviewed live on Northsound Radio.
