Chemistry at work
Over 850 third year pupils from Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray schools will be attending this year's three-day festival of Chemistry to be held at the University of Aberdeen.
One of the aims of the event will be to provide encouragement to some pupils to consider continuing with chemistry, therefore developing able young scientists who are a key part of our nation's future.
The event is being organised by SETPOINT Scotland North and sponsored by The Royal Society of Chemistry.
All pupils will attend a series of 20-minute presentations from such diverse organisations as Grampian Fire & Rescue Service and Scottish Water.
The event is aimed at third year school pupils studying for Standard Grade Chemistry.
Please feel free to send a photographer to the event, which will be held in the Meston Building of the University of Aberdeen between 9.30am - 3.25pm on 8, 9 and 10 June.
