Animal Acoustics
Photo-opportunity between 10:30am and 12 noon
North-east youngsters will jump with crickets, rumble with elephants and purr with tigers at the University of Aberdeen this summer.
It is all part of the summer events programme for children taking place at the University's Natural History Centre.
Mandy Tulloch, Development Co-ordinator at the Centre, said: "We're planning on having lots of fun this summer and have designed activities to let children explore the natural world.
"Thanks to sponsorship from Aberdeen City Council, we'll be finding out how animals including elephants, owls, tigers and fish make sounds as well as getting closer to some more silent animals.
"The children can also take part in some craft activities and use some fantastic microscopes to find out how crickets sing."
Animal Acoustics runs every week day until Friday July 23 between 10.30am and 12 noon. Admission is free and all children need to be accompanied by an adult. Advance booking is not required.
