Applicant days for prospective students

Prospective new students will have the opportunity to learn more about their future education in the Granite City at two forthcoming University of Aberdeen events.

The University will host its annual Bachelor of Science (BSc) Applicant Day on Wednesday 25 February and its Master of Arts (MA) Applicant Day on Wednesday 4 March.

Hundreds of would be students from across Britain and beyond are expected to attend the events which are designed to provide an insight into all aspects of student life in the city.

The BSc and MA applicant days are open to anyone holding a firm offer in either a Science or Arts subject area respectively, and due to begin their studies at the institution in September this year.

Academics will be on hand at each of the events to provide one on one advice and information on the wide variety of degree programmes available, and provide tours of academic facilities.

Sessions on subjects including student support, finance, accommodation, careers and studying abroad will provide guests with the opportunity to ask key questions about their academic future.

Guided tours of the University's King's College Campus will also be held at each of the events.

Rachel Sandison, Head of Student Recruitment and Admissions at the University of Aberdeen said: "The BSc and MA applicant days are a key opportunity for students due to undertake their studies at the University of Aberdeen in September, to gain a real insight into what the institution has to offer, and ask those all important questions about their future academic career.

"From course structures and career opportunities to accommodation and financial support, the events will provide an overview of the full spectrum of life at the University and showcase the high quality teaching and facilities that these students can expect to experience when they embark on their studies at the University."
