University of Aberdeen staff have raised a four figure donation for Grampian Kidney Research Association and Alzheimer Scotland.
£1315 has been generated for the causes thanks to a raffle organised by the institution's Research Financial Services Department.
A host of prizes were donated for the prize draw from several local business including Aberdeen Football Club, John Lewis and Glenfiddich Distillery.
This is the third year the raffle has been held, with University staff nominating the charity they wish to support.
Alan Johnstone from the University of Aberdeen's Research Financial Services Department said: "The annual raffle is a fantastic opportunity for University of Aberdeen staff to show support for extremely worthy causes.
"A great deal of effort by a committee of University staff has gone into making this raffle possible. We are thrilled to have raised this sum of money which will go towards continuing the great work of these commendable charities."
The raffle was drawn today (Wednesday 17 December) with Alison Povall from Infrastructure Systems at the University's Foresterhill campus winning the grand prize of a bumper Christmas Hamper.
