A seminar by an eminent American planner will take place at the University of Aberdeen next week.
Organised by the School of Geosciences and the Institute of Rural Research, Dr David Kinsey FAICP will deliver his presentation Affordable housing American style on Monday 30 June.
A planner specialising in affordable housing, urban, regional and environmental planning, and smart growth for public, private and non-profit clients, Dr Kinsey will deliver his insights into innovations from key states across America including New Jersey, Massachusetts and California, from 1970 to present day.
A partner in Kinsey & Hand planning consultants based in Princeton, New Jersey, Dr Kinsey is also a visiting lecturer of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
Since 1998 he has taught graduate courses at Princeton University in land use policy and planning, climate change, environmental justice affordable housing, New Urbanism, and planning theory and practice, and undergraduate courses on state housing policy and urban redevelopment.
Dr Kinsey's talk will take place from 3.30 – 5pm in Room 117, St Mary's, Elphinstone Road, Old Aberdeen. Attendance is free and all are welcome.
