Innovate with Aberdeen will take place at Our Dynamic Earth on March 5 and will offer policy makers, influencers and business leaders a unique opportunity to discover more about the work of Aberdeen's pioneering researchers.

With health and well-being always in the political spotlight, Aberdeen researchers will present the latest thinking on the impact of the smoking ban, drugs discovery, and delivering care for the elderly.
Professor Dominic Houlihan Vice-Principal, Research and Commercialisation, said: "Universities are increasingly being asked to demonstrate their impact on society and this event will focus on some of the major issues that matter to the future of Scotland and the wider world.
"For those involved in shaping and advising on policy, it is a must. We have a built a dynamic programme allowing delegates to attend for all or part of the day.
"Aberdeen has had a remarkable 12 months with unprecedented success with the sale of one of its biotech spin-out companies to one of the largest pharma firms in the world highlighting Aberdeen as an international centre for life sciences.
"We are seeing significant results in many other areas of our research and commercialisation activity. We feel the time is right to take this story to Scotland's political and business leaders in the capital."
There will also be an exhibition aimed at business angels and venture capitalists which will present opportunities for licensing, partnership and investment in Aberdeen research projects.
A special edition of Innovate, the University's magazine for business, will be produced to coincide with the event.
