The sky’s the limit when you learn a new language.
That's the message from the University of Aberdeen's Language Centre, which will be offering a range of foreign language evening courses from September 24.
In addition to running courses in European languages such as German, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish, the Centre will be starting brand new classes in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and English as a Foreign Language.
The Director of the Language Centre, Douglas Bell, said he was keen to expand the Language Centre's portfolio.
"More and more people are travelling to Asia these days, particularly China, so I think it is really important that the Language Centre caters to this trend in the courses that it offers," he explained.
"Our Beginners' classes are particularly functional in their approach and would certainly help someone to 'Get By' if they had to go out to China or Japan on a holiday or a business trip. I'm expecting our new courses in these languages to be really popular."
Each language course lasts for 12 weeks, with classes running for 2 hours on weekday evenings at 5 different levels: Beginners, Early Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced.
