The start of the new term at the University of Aberdeen also marks the beginning of the University’s Choral Society rehearsals.
New and existing members are invited to the rehearsals on Wednesday, September 27, at 6.50pm to allow time for registration before the rehearsal begins at 7.30pm.
The University of Aberdeen Choral Society will change its venue this year with rehearsals being held in the MacRobert Building at King’s College in Lecture Room 051.
Dr Paul Mealor, Senior Lecturer in Music, will be conducting the Choral Society this term. He said: “The Choral Society is always fun, exciting and musically stimulating. This year we are performing Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle – a masterpiece and really enjoyable to sing.
“We will also be performing our usual array of Christmas Carols in the Christmas concert. We look forward to welcoming back existing members and would encourage any new members to join us for what is sure to be a term to remember!”
