Professor C Duncan Rice, Principal of the University of Aberdeen, was privileged to give the 2006 Ian Davies Distinguished Lecture at Hong Kong University this week.

This is the second in the series of Ian Davies Distinguished Lecture which was established in 2005 and named after Emeritus Professor William Ian Rees Davies, the 13th Vice-chancellor of the University.
The lecture coincides with the award of an honorary degree on Lord David Wilson of Tillyorn, Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen. Lord Wilson is also a former Governor of Hong Kong and former Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong.
