The University of Aberdeen and ADIT Training are offering the chance for companies to take part in a pilot programme on coaching for managers and supervisors.
The aim of the course is to increase managers’ skills in dealing with people, especially on a one-to-one basis - allowing them to get the most from their team and support key individuals when they are needed.
The course will introduce delegates to the theory of coaching, as well as allow them the opportunity to develop the skills required to practically apply coaching in the workplace.
The course will run for six months and will incorporate six one-day sessions for participants at the University. The first session takes place on October 1 and it is anticipated that participants will attend all six sessions.
Scottish Enterprise Grampian has made a contribution to the development of this collaborative initiative and may be able to provide part funding to owners, managers and trainee managers in SMEs wishing to undertake this course.
