Around 70 pupils from North-east secondary schools are getting a helping hand with their studying this Easter from the University of Aberdeen.
For the fourth year running, the University is hosting a two-day Easter Revision School on April 5-6 for local Standard Grade pupils.
The event has been organised by the University's aim 4 uni programme, which works to encourage wider access to higher education.
Pupils from Northfield, Kincorth, St Machar and Peterhead Academies, will take part in activities designed to support their Standard Grade revision in Mathematics and English.
Seema Miah, aim 4 uni Project Officer and Event Organiser, said: "The Easter Revision School is one of a range of events that the University of Aberdeen's aim 4 uni scheme supports for young people in schools and we are delighted to have pupils from both Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire attending.
"This is the fourth year that the event has been run at the University. It is proving to be an increasingly popular choice of revision activity for many young people and we are really pleased at the numbers attending this year.”
While the main aim of the event is to improve pupils' Standard Grade achievements in Maths and English, it will also be an opportunity for them to experience a taste of the university environment and student life. The event will also include study skills workshops, which will be given by University staff.
Seema added: "We have had strong support from the schools, teachers and university staff and students involved and hope that the event will be as successful this year as it has been in previous years.
"Supporting young people in achieving better grades and providing the opportunity to come into a university is one way of encouraging them to view university study as an option for their future. We want to ensure that young people have choices and see themselves as having choices to study at higher levels. Events like the Easter Revision School reinforce this widening access message."
During the programme pupils will have the chance to win music vouchers and all participants will receive an Easter egg and certificate which will be presented to them on Wednesday 6 April at 3.00pm.
