Research into vertical farms by a PhD student at the University of Aberdeen is being carried out in consultation with Aberdeenshire's first facility of its type in the region - Vertegrow.
Annika Bucky recently visited Vertegrow in Newburgh along with local chef Craig Wilson – owner of Eat on the Green.
Annika’s research will cover Scottish people’s attitudes to food grown in vertical farms – from the general public to farmers, chefs, wholesalers and more.

Annika's PhD is also supported by Scotland's Advanced Plant Growth Centre at The James Hutton Institute.
