Hamood Alsawafi has been on "an exciting yet challenging journey" that has ended with a legal degree and a future in energy economics.
The 39-year-old from Oman is graduating with a Master of Law, Oil and Gas LLM, and credits the course with opening up extra opportunities in his current role as a regulator in his home country.
Describing the degree as a “perfect match” to his role, he said: “I took a blended program which included online studies and three weeks on campus for professional programs, which I enjoyed very much.
“The curriculum is excellent and placed a lot of emphasis on critical thinking, while also including business and economics which are very important for modern legal and corporate advisory roles.
“Achieving my degree has given me a great sense of accomplishment and I’m looking forward to continuing my studies in energy economics at doctorate level.
“I would like to thank the staff at the University who have helped me during my studies. I will really miss my time here.”
