International computing science students get together for networking event

Computing science students got together recently for a networking event aimed at creating connections among students from across the Department.

The event, primarily aimed at international students, was held at Student Roost in Pittodrie Street and brought together more than 40 students from across the University’s IT, Data Science and Medical Imaging MSc programs.

Organised by David Owusu-Brinfour, class representative for the MSc IT program, the event included a speech from AUSA VP for communities, Camilo Torres-Barragán, who spoke of the extra-curricular opportunities available for international students at the University.

Commenting on the event, David said: “I am delighted that so many students from across the computing science department came along to our event, which was a great way for us to connect and find out about the opportunities open to us.

“It was great to see so many of us from different backgrounds, and my thanks go to everyone who attended for making this such a worthwhile event full of interesting discussion.”
