Life Sciences Summit

The University will play host to The Times and Sunday Times Scotland Life Sciences Summit on Wednesday 30 March, 2022, in association with Opportunity North East and BioHub.

The event, held in Kings College Conference Centre will see leaders of the UK life sciences sector share insights, ideas and future vision for the sector.

This, the second annual summit will hear from entrepreneurs behind companies based in North-East Scotland, including biopharmaceuticals pioneer Elasmogen, antimicrobial developer NovaBiotics, and Alzheimer's researcher TauRx . Investors will explore what sets successful companies apart, while the team behind the BioHub - which opens this autumn in Aberdeen - will explain how the facility will help grow the cluster.

Times science editor Tom Whipple, Sunday Times Scotland editor Jason Allardyce, and experts from the world of life sciences will discuss world-class research and breakthroughs in biotech and health-tech, which are not only improving people's lives but are also delivering economic impact.
