The James Hutton Institute 43rd TB Macaulay lecture

The James Hutton Institute 43rd TB Macaulay lecture

The Rowett is exhibiting at this event; visitors to our stand can learn from Professor Jennie Macdiarmid how to make your diet healthy and sustainable, and Professor Wendy Russell about how novel crops, food formulations & crop diversification can help food security and climate change. We will also be highlighting a new food swap tool which will help shoppers make easy swaps to benefit the environment and climate change.

The annual TB Macaulay lecture, which gives expert insight between sustainable land use, science, the economy and communities takes place on Tuesday 2nd November 2021. This year, as world leaders begin to arrive in Glasgow for COP26, the honoured guest for the lecture is Christiana Figueres who was instrumental in the success of the Paris agreement in 2015.

The event will be live in Glasgow at Strathclyde University’s Technology and Innovation Centre, where it will be hosted by the BBC’s Laura Goodwin. The lecture will also be live-streamed and is free for anyone to attend.

Details on the event and the link to sign up for the event can be found on the TB Macaulay Lecture website.
