Graduating from the University of Aberdeen is a family affair for Halimatu Joji with her younger sister due to graduate next summer and her Mother and older Sister already graduates of the University.
Halimatu completed her undergraduate here at Aberdeen and it was the obvious choice for her to come back for her Masters, she said “I came back to Aberdeen to study for my Masters degree because I loved the University and the lecturers and the MRes programme was exactly what I was looking for.”
“I’ve really enjoyed getting to focus on different research projects, meeting interesting new people and of course, all the new things I’ve learned!”
As part of her Masters programme, Halimatu had to undertake research into an area that was new to her, she said: “My highlight and biggest challenge has definitely been the research project I undertook in chemistry. Although it was tough adjusting to a new area of research, everyone was very helpful and I really enjoyed the experience.”
