Dr Daria Shapovalova is just back from her visit to Oulu, Finland. On her research trip, Dr Shapovalova has met with her colleagues at the anthropology department of the University of Oulu for the planning workshop of her Cold Connections project.
She has also given a research seminar on indigenous rights to anthropology and geography faculty staff and students. Her talk was titled 'Resource Development on Indigenous Lands: The Broken Promise of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent' and is part of Daria's ongoing work on indigenous rights.
