Dr Gearoid Millar will deliver the preliminary findings from his Leverhulme Research Fellowship (2018/2019) at the interdisciplinary conference, Building Sustainable Peace: Ideas, Evidence, and Strategies, to be held on November 8-10, at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, at the University of Notre Dame.
The conference will focus on four strands of conflict, including understanding violence, peacemaking, confronting injustice, and building peaceful societies.
Drawing on his project, Ambition and Ambivalence: Peace Studies in a Changing World, Dr Millar will present his findings in his paper entitled, '21st Century Challenges to Peace Research and Practice: The Theoretical, the Structural, and the Mundane', and has been invited to contribute to a plenary discussing the state of the field.
