Older versions of Windows 10 upgrading to latest release
What is happening?
Digital & Information Services is upgrading systems running older versions of Windows 10 to the latest release version.
Upgrades will take place outside of business hours, during regular maintenance windows - for most devices, this is early on Saturday mornings.
What should I do?
Save any work and sign out (log off) as normal before you leave. If your system is upgraded, you may initially experience a slightly longer first log on time. This is normal behaviour.
Why is this happening?
This upgrade is taking place because versions of Windows 10 will be reaching their end of service and will no longer receive security updates and to give access to new security options and new features.
