Dental Public Health Research Funding Secured

We are delighted to announce that the Institute of Dentistry's Dr Ekta Gupta has secured funding for a new project which examines "Oral Health Literacy in older adults with Chronic Diseases".

Dr Gupta successfully applied to The Oral and Dental Research Trust’s new grant scheme funded by Oral Health Innovations Ltd, the UK provider of PreViser Clinical Risk and Disease Assessment technology.

Dr Gupta joined the Institute of Dentistry in 2016 as Lecturer in Dental Public Health. Her early career as a dentist in India focused on the care of people with dental needs in community settings. This interest in population oral health led directly to a Masters and PhD in Dental Public Health. Her research interests include: oral health inequalities, oral health quality of life; health service evaluation; and the psychosocial impact of oral health conditions.
