The University of Aberdeen and Queen's University Belfast are bringing together their environmental research and teaching centres of excellence to deliver a unique PhD opportunity for 100 students based both in Biological Sciences and in Geosciences. The programme, Queen's University Belfast & University of Aberdeen Doctoral Research and Training (QUADRAT), was launched in November 2018 and is funded through the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) matched by the universities. The aim is to equip students with the skills, outlook, purpose and holistic understanding to lead, communicate and translate innovative cross-disciplinary research that meets the challenges associated with the sustainable management of the natural environment.
Funding is available for UK and EU students, and the application deadline is 31st January, 2019. For more information on available projects and how to apply, please see the project descriptions available on FindaPhD.
