Malcolm Combe involved in new report for the Scottish Government on small landholdings

A report into small landholdings in Scotland has recently been published by the Scottish Government, available online here. Our Malcolm Combe was one of three contributors to it.

The purpose of the "Small Landholdings Landownership & Registration Project Report" was to consider how small landholdings were established and how they have changed over time, both for land owners and tenants, whilst also looking at the potential to (re)establish a register for small landholdings.

The lead on this Report was Dr Annie Tindley, of Newcastle University. The Project Team comprised Dr Tindley, Mr Micky Gibbard (PhD candidate, University of Dundee) and Mr Combe. Malcolm's role in the project was to review evidence and to give contextual and legal explanations about issues relating to the history and records of the small landholdings scheme.
