Congratulations to BDS5 student Glen Ward who achieved first place at the annual clinical skills crown prep challenge for final year students. Congratulations to Anitha Baskaran and Shona Baillie who were placed second and third respectively.
Regional heats for the RCSEd Dentsply Sirona Dental Skills Competition are taking place in dental schools across the UK and Ireland from October to December 2018. BDS5 student Glen Ward was successful at the Aberdeen heat on Wednesday 31 October and will now compete in the Grand Final in Edinburgh on 28 February 2019. The winner of the Grand Final will receive an all expenses paid trip to attend the Chicago Dental Society Conference and a Digital SLR camera designed for intraoral photography. The runner up will receive an all expenses paid trip to visit sponsor Dentsply Sirona's facilities in Switzerland.
