University of Aberdeen Law School hosts BILETA Conference 2018

Today saw the start of the BILETA annual conference: Digital Futures: places and people, technology and data, held here at the University of Aberdeen's King's College Campus

Professor Abbe Brown welcomes BILETA delegates

The annual conference  commenced with registration and coffee for delegates and speakers, followed by a welcome from Professor Abbe Brown, this year's host and organiser, and Dr.Matyas Bodig, Deputy Head of School.

Delegates then attended the first Keynote speech 'Tech law and the techlash' delivered by Professor Daithí Mac Síthigh (Queen’s University Belfast).

The day continued with a series of parallel presentations and discussions across areas such as Regulation and technology, Intellectual Property, Data protection and privacy.

The day's proeceedings were brought to a close with a walking tour of the University Campus, followed Dinner and Ceilidh with Jigs Akimbo  at  Elphinstone Hall.
