Aberdeen Schools Hydrogen Challenge 2019 gets support from members of the Ab-elektro group
Chris Wildi and Laura Pérez-Martínez (PhD students from Ab-elektro group) and Dr. Jonathan A. Mwanda participated in the Aberdeen Schools Hydrogen Challenge 2019. They worked with students of different Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire schools in workshops associated with the Global Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Education Programme. Arcola, the company behind the program, organises these events anually around the UK and overseas. The teams of students build vehicles from Lego pieces powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and try to optimise vehicle design to reduce fuel consumption. The team whose vehicle has the lowest fuel consumption (aka longest reach) wins the competition.
