Equipment

The group houses a separation/chromatography suite with one MPLC and one semi-preparative HPLC system, and a fully equipped microbial culture suite.

The molecular biology laboratory includes facilities for molecular genetics and protein chemistry (i.e. one FPLC funded by a BBSRC project).

The group has also access to high-resolution LC/ESIMS Bruker Maxis II and two NMR system (400 MHz and 600 MHz, the latter with a liquid nitrogen cryoprobe) in the MBC and a peptide synthesizer (Institute of Medical Sciences).

We carry out computer modelling using MacroModel, MOE, Avogadro, and ORCA.
