A list of upcoming events and activities by first year PhD student Luca Nasciuti
Luca Nasciuti, a PhD student in Composition (Supervisor: Pete Stollery) and a member of SERG (Sound Emporium Research Group), is developing a new series of compositions using field recordings from Aberdeenshire, Highlands, and Iceland.
The first piece ‘Above the Clouds a Timeless Fire’ will be performed at the Soundscapism series at the Banshee Labyrinth in Edinburgh, 1st March, followed by the Timespan Museum, Helmsdale, 6th March and at the Listening Club, Peckham Pelican, London 12th of April.
Luca will present his work and his approach to audiovisual documentation and electroacoustic music composition at the True North Conference, Timespan Museum, Helmsdale, 5th-7th March, where he will also lead a soundwalk workshop.
The final stage of the project will see Luca to take on a two-week residency at Fljotstunga travel farm in Iceland in May 2015.
The triptych of compositions will be performed along with film and photographic exhibitions in Scotland and Iceland starting Autumn 2015.
