Leading British composer and broadcaster Michael Berkeley (Baron Berkeley of Knighton) will visit the Music Department on the 29/30 October to give talks and tutorials and to hear a concert of his music. He will present a paper in the Music Department’s Music Research Seminar Series entitled ‘Music in Society: It’s Role and Power’ at 16.00 on Thursday 30 October, this being preceded by a concert of music by Berkeley (and his father, Lennox Berkeley) performed by the University’s Contemporary Music Group and Chamber Choir at 13.30. Both events are free.
