Chamber Choir to sing at BBC Proms

Chamber Choir to sing at BBC Proms

The University of Aberdeen Chamber Choir is to sing at the BBC Proms as part of the BBC Youth Choir in August.

The Choir have been invited to represent Scotland amongst youth choirs from all four Nations of the United Kingdom to form the BBC Proms Youth Choir. They will perform alongside the CBSO on the 21st August in the Royal Albert Hall, in a concert featuring Britten's War Requiem, Tippett's A Child Of Our Time (2013) and Vaughan Williams A Sea Symphony (2013).

The programme will be conducted by Andris Nelsons and broadcast live on Radio 3 and on BBC Online.
