On the weekend of 26-27 April the Department of Music, together with the Elphinstone Institute, will be hosting the ninth annual Musica Scotica conference.
The programme features an international array of speakers and a wide variety of topics, the only criterion being a connection to music and Scotland. In addition to paper sessions, there will be a concert of Gaelic music (Music of the Gaeltacht: A Concert of Gaelic Airs and Songs) and the launch of the first book from the recently re-established Aberdeen University Press (Taking Part in Music). For more information and to register please visit the conference website here.
