PhD student at the University of Aberdeen Department of Music Ali Rennie will feature in the Glasgow-based, two-week long festival, Radiophrenia, which explores current trends in sound and transmission arts. Rennie's work, entitled "Flood Warning", will be aired between 08:00am and 09:00am on Tuesday 15 February.
"Flood Warning" is a radio collage featuring sampled radio noise together with excerpts from American radio weather channels and talk show broadcasts discussing political and religious issues of the current ideological setting. It is an exploration of human creeds in the context of their radio transmission at a time in history when such creeds are notably forthcoming.
See radiophrenia.scot for more details on how to listen and for further information on the full broadcast schedules for the festival.
