Ross Cumming wins a final of the highest quality.
The Ogston final once again showed the high standard of performance achieved by the music students following the performance courses at the University of Aberdeen. From the opening song to the last note played, there was only quality to impress the packed audience. The three judges had an extremely hard choice to make and whilst they deliberated, last years winner, Amanda Garcia Fescarzaga, entertained the audience with pieces by Haydn and liszt.
The final decision came and it was Esther Lamneck from New York University who delivered the news that Ross Cumming was the winner. This was a popular choice of winner judging by the audience reaction.
