Kim Walker, a PgR student in Music, has had numerous success with an award of an educational grant from SET(Stirlingshire Educational Trust),acceptance for the 2017 SGSAH Hear Here as a Researcher in Residence Programme and a solo exhibition at Patriothall Gallery
Kim Walker has been accepted for the 2017 exhibition program at Patriothall Gallery in Edinburgh. Kim will be presenting one of her audio works created as part of her PhD Research in the Music Department at the University of Aberdeen. The installation will premier at Patriothall Gallery, marking the first time this piece will have been presented to the public. The exhibition will be my first solo exhibition in Edinburgh and will be the third time my work has been presented in the city.
Kim has also been accepted for the 2017 SGSAH Hear Here: Researcher in Residence Program. Through participating in three sessions, the program aims to connect community sound archives with doctoral researchers who can contribute time and expertise; to train researchers in sound archiving, co-creation and public engagement skills; to connect audiences to community sound archives.
