Gemma McGregor will give a paper about Orcadian music at the Musica Scotica conference in April 2015.
Aberdeen University postgraduate music student, Gemma McGregor, has been invited to present her paper at the conference, "Musica Scotica 2015: 800 years of Scottish Music". This is the tenth annual conference and is to be held at the St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art, Glasgow, on April 25th and 26th.The paper is entitled, “Music for Saint Magnus - Evidence for the impact of cultural inheritance on musical composition with specific reference to the influence of Saint Magnus on music in Orkney”.
