University of Aberdeen PhD student James Aburn is excited to be commissioned by JAM on the Marsh to write the music for Changeling Theatre's 2023 Summer tour. These two important multi-arts organisations are based in Kent, England which is where James originates from. Changeling Theatre Company is a renowned organisation that produces high quality, entertaining theatre in non-traditional locations and has performed at JAM on the Marsh every year since 2017, captivating the audience with productions of well-known works by Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde and Noël Coward. JAM on the Marsh is delighted to be collaborating with changeling to provide the music for this year's productions. This year the two productions are Shakespeare's 'Love's Labour's Lost' and Sheridan's 'School for Scandal'. The music for the plays contrasts hugely with Love's Labour's Lost using Netflix's 'Bridgeton' as its inspiration whilst 'School for Scandal' is set in the Glam Rock world of the 1970s.
