Students commencing a BMus, BMus (Education) or BMus (Music & Communities) full-time degree at the University of Aberdeen in September 2019 are eligible to apply for the Derek Ogston Music Scholarship and the Margaret Carlaw Music Scholarship.
Description
Two scholarships will be awarded to students with musical talent (voice or instrumental) entering the University for full-time undergraduate studies. The Carlaw scholarship valued at £1,500 and the Ogston scholarship valued at £1,500 will be awarded for the four years duration of the Degree (£6,000 in total).
Criteria
To be considered for the scholarships you will need to have applied to the University of Aberdeen for a BMus place starting in September 2019; to be awarded the scholarship you must receive and then firmly accept a BMus offer, either conditional or unconditional, of a place at the University. The scholarship can only be held by students of the University - it cannot be transferred to other institutions. You should note that only applicants domiciled in the UK and classified as Home Fees are eligible for the scholarships.
Academic Year 2019-20
Application forms to be submitted to Mr James Wright, in Student Recruitment, by 17th May 2019. The audition is expected to take place the week term commences, 2nd to 6th September 2019.
