Description
This session builds on your understanding of dose-response curves by defining the terms efficacy and potency, and goes on to show how drugs are selective in their effects on individual tissues and receptors. It also demonstrates how both the beneficial and adverse effects of a drug can be plotted on a dose-response curve and how this helps to define its therapeutic index.
