Syntocinon infusion continued in recovery
Intensive monitoring every 15 minutes
Blood loss was regularly monitored and hourly urine volumes measured
She had repeat blood 4 hours after theatre and her bloods stable: Hb 80, Platelets 196 and U & Es within range
The Bakri balloon was subsequently removed early the next morning and her bleeding remained settled
Her care was stepped down to routine, dalteparin was given and she recoved well post-natally
She was discharged home on iron on day 4, and for 10 days total of dalteparin
