Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
Primary PPH
Bleeding of ≥ 500mls or more up to 24 hours following delivery
Major PPH > 1 litre
A multidisciplinary team (MDT) is needed to manage blood loss > 1000mls and ongoing bleeding
Secondary PPH
Bleeding of ≥ 500mls or more up to 24 hours up to 12 weeks
