- A 75 year old man is referred to the Dermatologist because his wife thinks a spot on his back has been getting larger
- The patient explains that the spot started to itch and bled a little, after drying himself with a towel
- He says that he has quite a few similar spots all over his body, and his father has a similar problem
- You go to examine him
What is the most likely diagnosis?

Feedback:
- Diagnosis of seborrhoeic keratosis is primarily clinical
- These lesions can occur anywhere on the body (except palms and soles) but common places are the torso and chest
- Patients may present with itching / inflammation of this lesion, either spontaneously or after friction with clothing
- These lesions can occur in males and females of any ethnicity, more commonly in older age, and there is no known cause
