Interactions
Risk of severe skin reaction when used with chloroquine.
Risk of toxicity if given with penicillamine.
Hypotension occurs if used with ACE inhibitors.
Education
Patients should be aware that monitoring tests are needed. They should also be aware of important side effects to look out for.
Pharmacokinetics
Widely distributed and may accumulate, meaning that it can be detected for up to one year after use. Renal excretion.
