During Theatre
In the Theatre, Observe:
- Barrier checks
- Positioning
- Scrub technique
- Preparation and draping of the patient
- Maintaining the sterile field
During the Operation:
- Ask questions if unsure
- Staff are in theatre to do a job, try to judge when they should not be disturbed
- Speak to the anaesthetist
- Speak to the nurses
- Speak to your colleagues
