- Piperacillin / Tazobactam IV is the go-to for pseudomonas cover if clinically suspected / positive on swab

For example if a farmer came in after a farm accident and you have a wound contaminated with hay, to prevent OM you should absolutely consider pseudomonas and fungal cover as we all know that fungal spores are present.
Think of the mechanism of injury (If there is any) and the likely source of contamination and TAKE SWABS.
