Surgical Emergency
- 2-incision 4 compartment decompression of lower leg
- Lateral incision - halfway between tibial crest and fibula
- Care of SPN - 5-10cm above lat mall
- Assess for full release (no bands) and muscle
- Colour, consistency, bleeding, contractility
- Debride necrotic tissue
- Medial incision - 1cm posterior to medial tibia
- Avoid posterior Tibial Art and perforator vessels
- Perforators at 5, 10, and 15cm above medial maleolus
- Assess completeness of release and muscle characteristics
